Wake County Clerk charging for audio copies of hearings

February 2nd, 2015 by Katherine Frye

Effective January 20, 2015, the Clerk of Court has begun charging $5.00 for each audio request that is made. Generally, I have requested these audio recordings as a matter of course in case I need it to assist in drafting an order or in using at a later hearing. Certainly now my protocol may change with this added administrative fee.
Prior to receipt of the audio file, you must pay the $5.00, so now it is probably a wise idea for attorneys and individual representing themselves to add a spare $5 bill to his or her pocket to cover this cost.
If you are navigating the court waters by yourself, call our firm for assistance. We will offer individual help and consultation to help you navigate this every growing administrative process. Our firm offers you the time, attention and experience at a time when you need it most. Call us at 919.846.8807
